Initial Setup

1. Turn Off Power: Always turn off power to the heating/air conditioning system prior to installing or adjusting the thermostat.
2. Configure System:

Operating the Thermostat

1. System Mode: Select COOL, OFF, HEAT using the SYSTEM switch.
2. Fan Mode: AUTO or ON using the FAN switch.
3. Temperature Setpoint: Use up/down arrows to adjust; OVERRIDE for temporary, HOLD for extended override.
4. Programming: Press PROG to enter, select day/group, set time and temperature for MORN, DAY, EVE, NITE events. Use SpeedSet by holding PROG for 3 seconds.
5. Display: Shows current time, temperature, program event, system status (HEAT ON, COOL ON), fan status, SERVICE FILTER.
Note: Adaptive Recovery starts system early to reach setpoint by program time. Compressor protection delays restart.

Temperature Display Adjustment

Configure temperature scale (°F/°C) in installer settings under DEG. No direct calibration; accuracy is +/-1°F. Use separate thermometer for verification if needed.

Installing New Thermostat

  1. Mount sub-base level on wall, approximately 5 ft above floor, avoiding drafts/sunlight. Drill holes, secure with screws/anchors.
  2. Connect wiring: Rc/Rh (jumper for single transformer), W1, Y1, G, O/B, C (common). Set factory switch to CONV/HP and HG/HE.
  3. Insert batteries if using battery power.
  4. Configure installer settings.
  5. Snap thermostat body onto sub-base.
  6. Apply power, test system.
