Operation Instructions
Initial Setup
1. Turn Off Power: Always turn off power to the heating/air conditioning system prior to installing or adjusting the Zone Panel.
2. Wire Panel: Wire the entire panel before applying transformer power.
3. Configure System:
- Press SETUP for 3 seconds to enter menu.
- Use SELECT to change values, NEXT to advance, HOLD FOR BACK for 3 seconds to go back, HOLD FOR EXIT for 3 seconds to exit.
- Set options like SYS TYPE, FAN, PURGE, SA SENS, DEG, PLENUM HI/LO LIMIT, SCP, G2 ZONES, PRIORTY, OP MODE, BAL PT, REV VALVE.
Operating the Controller
1. LED Indicators: Panel Power (Green flashing), Equipment (Rh, Rc, Y1/Y2, G/G2, W1/E/AUX/W2/O/B, L), Thermostat (R, Y1/Y2, W1/E/AUX/W2/O/B, G per zone), Dampers (Red closed/Green open).
2. Display: Shows HEAT CALLS, COOL CALLS, FAN CALLS, PLENUM TEMP (if sensor enabled).
3. Zone Operation: Dampers open on calls; all open if no calls. Purge at end of call.
4. Staging: Automatic based on configuration.
5. Emergency Heat: Switch to ON for heat pumps; cooling calls ignored.
Note: Use with compatible thermostats and dampers. Plenum/outdoor sensors for protection and balance point.
Temperature Display Adjustment
Configure temperature scale (°F/°C) in setup menu under DEG. Changing resets plenum limits. No direct calibration; use separate thermometer for verification if needed.
Troubleshooting
- No Operation: Check power LED, configuration, zone calls.
- No Heat/Cool: Verify thermostat calls, damper LEDs, airflow. Test zones.
- Fan Constant: Check fan control settings, wiring.
- Erratic Operation: Check voltage, fuse, wiring. Reset panel.
- Error Conditions: PLENUM HI (heating off, fan on), PLENUM LO (cooling off, fan on), Plenum Sensor Bad (disable stages/sensor).
- System Checkout: Press TEST for 3 seconds; test heating, cooling, fan, dampers.
- Reset: Press reset once to restart, hold 5 seconds for factory defaults.
Installation Instructions
Warning: Turn off power before installation. For experienced technicians only. Use only with described systems; conform to local codes. Provide disconnect and overload protection.
Remove Old Controller
- Turn off power. Disconnect wiring, note connections. Remove old mounting hardware and controller.
Installing New Controller
- Mount near HVAC equipment in any orientation (wall, stud, truss, plenum), level for appearance. Use base as template, drill holes, secure with screws/anchors.
- Connect thermostats (R, W1/E/AUX/W2/O/B, Y1/Y2, G per zone), equipment (Rh, Rc, Y1/Y2, G/G2, W1/E/AUX/W2/O/B, L), dampers (PO/PC per zone), optional plenum sensor (SA1/SA2), outdoor sensor (OA1/OA2), dedicated transformer (R, C).
- Configure via setup menu.
- Push excess wire back.
- Apply power, test system using checkout mode.
Battery Location
- Not applicable; no batteries.
